Need help locating birth record for Hans Peder Hansen

According to the 1870 Census, Hans Peder Hansen was apparently born in Hostrup, Skast, Ribe, Denmark around 1823 but I do not find him here.

Thanks so much Britta!  I was having a heck of a time trying to locate him even on a Ribe Census.  What parish would I look in for his birth record?  ETA:  Also, if I am translating this correctly, the children in the 1834 Census are those of the householder so why is their patronymic Hansen and not Larsen/Lorentsen?

Interesting that he does not have a patronymic.  I would never have thought his father's first name was Lorentz.

From what I am reading in the documents that Britta was able to find for my Hans Peder Hansen, a couple of observations.

His father, Lorentz, has a middle name of Rerop?

His mother is Mette Kirstine Godsk?  Should this not be Godsksdatter?  There seems to be a couple "Godsksdatter" in Ribe (though I cannot find anything on Mette Kirstine).

Both of these names, Rerop and Godsk, seem quite odd for Danish names.  Yes?

Still seems odd that in 1822 a child does not have a patronymic especially when the father was a day labourer.  I have seen where, when the father has a position of importance, the children take his surname (patronymic) as their surname.

Another record I am having difficulty locating is for the daughter of Hans Peder Hansen and Abelone Caroline Cathrine Andersdatter Glistrup.

She is Sofie Kristine Hansen born 25 Jul 1852, baptised 10 Aug 1852, apparently somewhere in København but I have not seen a birth register like this one.

I checked København Vor Frelsers Sogn, since that is where her brother was baptised 2 years earlier and did not see a record.  I also checked Trinitatis, Sokkelund, København, because that is where her parents were married, and her brother was born 1854, but nothing there either.

I think she also died young since she is not on any Census records going forward.

What is the significance of Sophie Christine Hansen being listed on Fødselsstiftelsen and not a regular birth record?  I have never seen that before.

I always tend to think patronymics were phased out in the mid-1800s.  I learned something new.

Does the fact that she gave birth at the Fødselsstiftelsen suggest that this child was not her husband's?  Also, what does it say in the far right column about 11 May 1852?  What that when the mother was admitted to the hospital?

Also, it seems so odd that this particular child, Sofie Kristine Hansen, was not with the family on any Census yet she apparently married Anders Larsen on 3 Oct 1875 somewhere in København.  Their next daughter was Sofie Kristine Kathrine Hansen which led me to think that the 1852 child died.

Maybe you should look for the baptism of his daughter Mette Kirstine in Ribe Sct. Catharinæ parish?
 

Thank you for finding this Inger.  I had his 3rd marriage but not the Census.  I had been trying to see if he had any other children than his 2 sons with his 1st wife and this seems to indicate that, in 1840, he still had no other children.
