Christian Iversen was born 29 Dec 1807 in Kirkerup parish, Sorø Amt.
He married Inger Sophie Rasmusdatter 25 Aug 1838 in Førslev parish, Sorø Amt.
They lived at Rappenborg in Karrebaek parish, Sorø Amt, where they had 4 children.

They both show up in the 1880 census still in Rappenborg, living with their youngest daughter Frederikke Claudine,

In the 1890 census Inger Sophie and Frederikke Claudine are still at Rappenborg, but Inger is listed as a widow.

Inger Sophie died 08 Feb 1905 in Bistrup, Fodby parish, Soro Amt, but was buried at Karrebaek kirkegaard.

From this I assumed that Christian died sometime in the 1880-1890 period and most likely in or near Rappenborg (Karrebaek parish), but I have been unable to find any death records in the local churches.

Does anyone have any ideas on where I should look next?

Thanks,
Art

I couldn't find it indexed anywhere, but the death record for him is available at http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=152498&side=50 in Karrebæk (d. 19 Apr 1886).

Kerry,

Thank you so much for finding that reference.  Based on the date, I found a church record on AO, but only in the older scanned images for Karrebaek.  When I looked in the newer scans I noticed that this page was missing from the death records.  Since Ancestry.com appears to have used the new scans for their indexed database, it is is also missing on Ancestry, com.

Yeah, it is kind of strange that an 1886 record isn't in the "color" scans.  There's also a whole library for Karrebæk sogn that hasn't been digitized by FamilySearch yet:  https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/402460?availability=Family%20History%20Library.  They've completed scans of all their microfilm records but apparently not microfiche.  They do have the microfilms imaged at https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/408939?availability=Family%20History%20Library.  I did just find the indexed death record for him that I didn't initially find because the search for Christian Iversen didn't hit on Kristian Iversen:  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG8X-6GGF

Hans Chr.,
Thank you,  that is the same record that I found after Kerry's first response.
