Finding a birth in 1968-1970, person deceased?

Hello,

I wondered if it would be possible to find a birth or death record of someone born in Haderslev between 1968-1970, and if so, what the best search method would be?

I'm looking into a family rumor that my in-laws, both dead, may have had and lost a first child that they never spoke about.
