Cousins of mine found an old picture of our common great-grandfather.  The original picture was likely a rectangular sheet that had been cut to fit into an oval picture frame.  There was handwritten text on the back of the picture that now incomplete.  We'd like to get a translation of what is still visible to see if we can get a sense of what might have been said.  We'd really appreciate some help in transcribing and translating what is readable.

Thanks for any help,
