Looking at this register I find an abbreviation after multiple names.

https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn1719/churchbook/source133679/opslag14409893

They appear to be "S or L   E or K" {my guess}

Does anyone know what the letters are, what they transcribe to and what the meaning is?

Thank you...

Notice that their fathers are fishermen, so they would later probably fit better for the navy, and not the army.

Hi Lynn

My guess is that the abbreviation is "HiK", meaning "In this church".
All parrents with children where this abbreviation is used, comes from "Worrupøer" (Vorupør). Vorupør get its first church in 1878.

Thank you everyone...an additional question---What would cause an individual to be listed Sølimit' verses the 'lægdsrulle'?

The Navy wanted young men inured to the sea - and that were sons of fishermen and seamen/skippers along the coasts.
So they were from their birth put into the sea rolls (søruller) and not the army rolls (lægdsruller).
