Can anyone tell me where Øster Gjesten Sogn, Colding Amt is located? I don't see it in the list of parishes in Denmark...neother the sogn nor the amt. It appears in the census below:

Hi,

I think the mother's name is "Maren", not "Karen". Look at the M in Marie on the line below. It is the same as the first letter in "Maren". Or?

On Gjesten 1830-1843, AO opslag 55, there is a confirmation record in 1831 for Maren Jensdatter that says she was born 11 Feb 1817, but I cannot read the place. Can anyone help?

there is standing that she is Born and Christen samme day 11 Februar 1817 and the rest ist not the place of born both the name of the person that have Christen Maren.
You must trost that she is born at Vester Gjesten Mark that is standing together with her name
